THESE ARE THE RULES OF THE FORUM!
LEARN TO LOVE THEM!

1.) Thou shalt not resort to fallacies against the person. Present premises, not piss fights!

2.) Thou shalt not feed spam to this forum.

3.) Thou shalt not ask for help with logic homework or request that another user write their essays on the forum. Mooching is a Class B Annoyance.

4.) Thou shalt not use l33t sp33k or make excessive gammatikal/speling errorz. This site's official language is English, though other world languages are acceptable if the poster provides translation.

5.) Thou shalt not use ridiculous, unreadable fonts. Let your position, not your glossy Impact 18pt italicization, stand out.

6.) Thou shalt not repost or parrot. There's no algorithm for determining how ban-worthy parroting or reposting in the same thread is, but just know that the acceptability of reposting increases with the original growth within the thread.

7.) Thou shalt use vulgarity only for occasional emphasis in a more serious post.

8.) Thou shalt not ask vacuous or lame questions. A "lame question" is one that can be answered in one sentence.

Examples:
"What color was Aristotle's hair?"
"What is the difference between the Identity of Indiscernibles and the Indiscernibility of Identicals?"
"What if the world was like, you know, different?"

9.) Thou shalt avoid neologism if the philosophical lexicon already has a word for the proposed term.

10.) Thou shalt not post opinions on the main topic without some legitimate form of defense. Talking about "impressions" of certain positions that are tangential to the main topic are fine, but mere assertion is boring and will be deleted.
